MADEMOISELLE CHAMBON tells a beautiful story of contemporary forbidden romance in a small town in southern France... a fresh take on the popular cinematic theme of infidelity, and portrays a sensitivity and nuance that can rarely be found in contemporary cinema. Here's a Times review of that picture. Also tonight, there's a free screening of the documentary Decade of Disturbed, which I believe is a pun considering the movie's main subject, American hard rock band Disturbed (if I'm wrong on that, please correct me). That will be screening at 9:30, and is brought to you by MFA, 93X and Sound Unseen (barely a week into this blog and already I'm creating 93X hyperlinks).
Ahh, did anyone else notice that kid doing a Creed/Jesus pose 36 seconds into the Disturbed trailer? I found that image upsetting.
